The European Bioeconomy Congress Lodz 2017 is aimed at supporting development of bioeconomy in Central and Eastern European Bioregions. It will discuss opportunities, challenges and problems which are faced by local sustainable biocommunities, i.e. biovillages and biocities. Therefore, the headline of the Congress is "Biocommunities at the heart of EU’s bioeconomy”. The Congress will present and discuss synergies in existing European and national instruments supporting development of local biocommunities.

The European Bioeconomy Congress Lodz 2017 will be held on November 20-21, 2017, in Lodz, Poland. The main organizer is the Lodzkie Region. It will bring together about 500 high level experts from regional authorities, policy makers, companies, academia, NGOs and farmers. Objectives of the Congress are: to network Central and Eastern European Bioregions, to support transfer of knowledge between European bioregions; to increase industry involvement in local bioeconomy value chains as well as to increase participation in the European and national programmes supporting bioeconomy development.

The European Bioeconomy Congress Lodz 2017 will be held in hotel Vienna House Andel’s Lodz, Ogrodowa 17 Str, Łódź.
